LifeTies, Inc
find out more about the nj-based nonprofit

each child who comes to LifeTies is unique. but there is one thing they all share: hope.

LifeTies has helped hundreds of kids in NJ through issues of abuse, neglect, gang violence, drug addiction, teen pregnancy, poverty and HIV/AIDS.

some of the children whose lives have been forever changed by Mary and LifeTies programs have shared their stories.

I came to know Mary at a time in my life where I did not know where I was going next. She became my stepping stone. Through her, I learned to move forward . . one step in front of the other . . go on to college, become a legal secretary and have a beautiful daughter who I believe in SO MUCH . . just like Mary did in me. So, a BIG HUGE THANK YOU to Mary Inzana -- without her, I do not know where I would be today!

TILT taught me what it meant to be a real man.

a poem from Karen

For all the lives you’ve touched . . . for all of those that you’ve helped to mold;
You SO deserve the recognition that you are receiving here today.
For those of us who have had the pleasure of coming into your embrace;
Where would we be without you . . . all the challenges we are forced to face.
Mary, you are a legend – words can only begin to explain WHO you are;
In a world where others turn away, you extend an opening arm.
Your kindness stretches beyond the realm of human understanding;
There are few others like you who give meaning when it seems that no one is there.
An open book of compassion and feeling . . . instilling positive reinforcement;
Those of us who have never believed in ourselves learn encouragement through you.
We learn, we trust and we become stronger in mind and soul;
Just to be able to realize WHO and WHAT we are makes us a step ahead by far.
Thank you, Mary, always for being the leader that you are;
For pushing us beyond our means and finding the good in us --
You bring sunshine to cloudy skies and make us feel secure;
To mary land you brought yourself and who could ask for more?
Homeless children are 3x more likely than other children to have emotional or behavioral problems.

Children as young as 7 years old are often recruited to gangs.

Approximately 30% of woman infected with HIV/AIDS are not tested prior to giving birth.

Children who age out of Foster Care are far more likely to end up homeless, in prison or addicted to drugs.
